Backup incoming mail from zimbra system to another mail system

Edit /opt/zimbra/postfix/conf/mail.cf and add the following two lines.

sender_bcc_maps = pcre:/opt/zimbra/postfix/conf/archive_mail
recipient_bcc_maps = pcre:/opt/zimbra/postfix/conf/archive_mail

Create /opt/zimbra/postfix/conf/archive_mail, replacing the domain with the domain whose email you want to back up. /^(.*)@ezymailhosting.com$/ $[email protected] The configuration above tells the system to BCC both incoming and outgoing email for ezymailhosting.com to backup.ezymailhosting.com. For example: When email arrives: TO: [email protected] — the system sends a BCC to [email protected]. TO: [email protected] — the system sends a BCC to [email protected]. When a user sends email: FROM: [email protected] — the system sends a BCC to [email protected]. Edit /opt/zimbra/postfix/conf/transport to specify the backup email server for the system. backup.ezymailhosting.com smtp:[192.168.1.x] Replace 192.168.1.x with the IP address of the backup email server. Then run: cd /opt/zimbra/postfix/conf/ postmap transport After finishing the changes, restart the MTA service with: su - zimbra -c “zmmtactl restart”
