How to delete emails from the Zimbra MTA queue
To remove large amounts of email stuck in the system queue after a spammer attack, follow these steps.
To delete every email in the system queue, run:
[root@EzyMailHosting ~]# /opt/zimbra/postfix/sbin/postsuper -d ALL
If you want to avoid affecting other email waiting in the system, use the following command. This command removes queued email only for the specified sender:
[root@EzyMailHosting ~]# mailq | grep -v '^ *(' | grep [email protected] | tr -d '*!' | /opt/zimbra/postfix/sbin/postsuper -d -
Replace [email protected] with the sender address of the queued email you want to delete.
